Round 7 & 8 COTA – Circuit of the Americas

Sept 16 – 18, 2015

After a disappointing race at VIR, the team with a rebuilt race car and renewed passion was looking forward to a podium finish.   Free practice was a disaster, with 8 minutes on the clock the session was haulted with a red flag, due to an incident on track, by the time the track was cleared the session was over due to time elapsed. The afternoon session was not any better, with another incident on track and clean up, both Paul and Joe only had three laps each to learn a new and technical track.

This meant qualifying would be a struggle, after 40 minutes of qualifying, Team Paragon only managed a 6th in class qualifying position. This means starting well back on the grid on race one. Race one was exciting as expected, with traffic and attrition at the start, the team managed to move up to P4 in class, and managed to make the pass for P3 and a podium finish for race 1.

Race Two was basically the repeat of Race one, with the technical COTA circuit claiming cars that were overheating and attrition, the Blue Chem team managed.
