Round 5 & 6 of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo – VIR

August 20-22, 2015 – Virginia International Raceway

The weekend started with open practice and testing on Thursday, the number 15 Blue Chem – Paragon Competition was on pace, however an off track incident late in the day damaged the front splitter. The crew worked hard to repair the damage, and looked forward to a good qualifying session.

Paul was out for the start of the qualifying session, and noticed a vibration at high speed. So the team brought the car in for repairs to the splitter once again. That meant car 15 did not have enough time for a good result in qualifying, and only managed a 5th position in class for the start of Race 1.

Race 1 was a run with multiple full course yellows, the Blue Chem-Paragon Competition Gallardo only managed a 5th place finish due to the full course yellows.

Race 2 was not any better, Paul was hit by another competitor at the 5 minute mark, the Blue Chem-Paragon Competition Gallardo sustained heavy damage and did not finish. The team tried their best but could not repair the car in time for Race 3.

Moving on to Texas COTA, the team will rally and work hard to fight for a better finish.
