MONTEREY, CALIFORNIA. May 5th 2015. The Toronto based team Paragon Competition, representing Lamborghini Uptown Toronto, took part in the first race of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North American series. The team finished on a high note with a second place finish in the AM Class in Race One, and a third place finish in Race Two. “Down on power for qualifying, we knew we were not on pace this weekend.” says Paul Taylor.

“We worked with our engineers and the Lamborghini engineers to try to find a solution, but could not find any issues with the mapping. There was just not enough time to check the fuel pumps which we think is the culprit.” Nevertheless, the team pushed hard, and when the mandatory 60 second pit stops came into play, the Blue Chem Group #15 Gallardo pitted and changed drivers. Exiting the pits in P2, “we were called in by IMSA officials for leaving the pit box 2 seconds too early, so I had to serve a drive through penalty” states Joe Chan. We were out of contention for the top step of the podium, but the Paragon Team did a great job, getting us to Laguna, we will push harder for the next race.
