Fall 2013
The 2014 season came to an end with celebration; the Bluechem sponsored Paragon Competition GS Camaro wrapped up the GT Challenge GS title and the Team Championship title. Missing two races this season, the team came into the crucial round of the 59th running of the BEMC 3 hour endurance race. A double points race, this would be the deciding race for the title. “We are 26 points behind the GS class points leader #255 of Richard Labbe” ..Said Paragon Competition team principle Joe Chan. We will need to score a win here and at the final celebration race.
The team is focused and ready. Once again the pit stops were the key, at the full course yellow just after the half way mark, the Paragon Camaro came in for 17 gallons of fuel and a driver’s change. Executed flawlessly, the team got the Paragon Camaro out of the pits at the minimum required time. Running a good pace, the Paragon Camaro lead and won the 3 hour endurance race, taking home maximum points and the lead in the GS class.
The celebration race, was the final race of the season. With the #255 Mustang of Labbe as a no show and mechanical issues with the VW of Mark Durant, the Paragon Competition Camaro finished 2nd in the GS Class, to capture the championship and the team championship. Thank you to the Team and our partners, Bluechem and CKS motorsports for their support in winning our 2014 GT Challenge GS Championship.
